Invitation to the RemiHub Stakeholder Online Workshop

The aspern.mobil LAB is pleased to invite you to the online stakeholder workshop on the issue of “Transferability of the RemiHub concept to other sectors and cities in Austria”.
In many cities, space is becoming scarce. Especially for freight transport and logistics, there is often too little space available. Therefore, parcels & co. have to be brought into the city from far out in the surrounding countryside, creating additional traffic in the city by distribution vehicles. Since September 2018, the RemiHub consortium has been investigating whether and how public transport operating areas can be used as city hubs for sustainable parcel logistics. With RemiHub, completely new transshipment points are created in the city and the last mile to the recipients is greatly shortened, which is why we can manage it with little or no motorisation (with cargo bikes, e-vans).
The successes in awards such as the Innovation in Politics Award 2020, the Stadtwerke Zukunftspreis or the mention in the Vienna Coalition Agreement 2020 testify to the great potential of the RemiHub concept.

In this online stakeholder workshop, we invite you to learn about the RemiHub concept and possible operator models, discuss the transferability of these concepts to your sector or city and thus take important next steps towards sustainable urban parcel logistics.

We ask for informal registration (name, institution, position/role) to anmeldung@mobillab.wien by 13 May 2021.

The full agenda of the workshop will be published here soon and sent to the registered participants by email.

The aspern.mobil LAB looks forward to your participation and a lively exchange at the online stakeholder workshop!
